FAQ

We are closed on Sundays and Japanese public holidays.

To easily locate us, just simply look for or mention two nearby landmarks to your taxi driver: “Hotel The Celestine Ginza” at 8-4-22 Ginza, Chuo-ku, or “Recruit Ginza 8 Building” at 8-4-17 Ginza, Chuo-ku. Our establishment is just a one-minute walk from the hotel and two minutes from “Recruit,” which, for your info, is a nationwide HR services company familiar to almost all Tokyoites.

Take the Ginza, Marunouchi, or Hibiya line on the Tokyo Metro to “Ginza” Station, then head towards the “C3” exit and walk for 6 minutes. If you’re on the Ginza line, get off at Shimbashi Station and take exit 3 for a 3-minute walk. If you’re taking JR, the nearest station is “Shimbashi,” and it’s a 5-minute walk from the “Ginza-guchi” Exit. To easily locate us, we highly recommend using your mobile device’s map app and searching for “Ginza BOSS Bldg., 8-5-24 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.”

We do not have a dedicated parking lot, but there is a “Nishi-Ginza Parking” nearby. Please park in the “Shinbashi direction” and use the pedestrian entrance “G”. It is a 30-second walk to the restaurant.

While we do not have a strict dress code, we kindly request “smart casual” attire. For gentlemen, a jacket is the preferred choice. We request that you refrain from wearing T-shirts, sandals, and sneakers.

With a seating capacity of just eight, we are dedicated to crafting and presenting ingredients of the utmost quality with impeccable timing. While there may be adjustments to our schedule in the future, we currently offer three seating times: 5:30 pm, 6:00 pm, and 6:30 pm. We recognize that this may require some flexibility on your part, and we deeply appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Our signature “Enburi” course offers a delectable experience with around 10 dishes, thoughtfully curated to complement seasonal ingredients of the day.

Our culinary approach, known as “Innovative Kappo,” marries traditional Japanese Kappo style with a fusion of French, Chinese, and other cuisines. We take pride in sourcing premium ingredients from various regions of Japan, with Hachinohe, Aomori being a particular favorite. Our menu offerings may feature crab, tuna, shark fin, sea urchin, abalone, or Kuroge Wagyu beef, depending on seasonal availability.

Please note that our daily menu is crafted on the day itself, allowing us to create a unique dining experience that is tailored to the freshest ingredients available.

We offer approximately six sake pairings to complement our some 10 dish course menu, and of course, we are happy to make recommendations based on your preferences beyond the pairing. With over 30 varieties of sake crafted by Hachinohe Shuzo, which received the 2021 top spot in the world rankings of sake breweries, as well as numerous awards in Japan, France, the UK, and the USA, we invite you to savor the diverse aromas and flavors of our selection.

No, we offer more than just Japanese sake from Hachinohe Shuzo. We also have beer and wine that complement our course menu. For those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, we have also prepared a special tea pairing blend crafted by Ginza Hasshin.

We are committed to providing a positive dining experience for all of our guests, including those with diverse dietary preferences and allergies.

While we may not be able to accommodate guests who have a general aversion to seafood, we do offer alternative options for guests with shellfish allergies.

If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know in advance so that we can make every effort to ensure that your needs are met.

We are afraid, no.  We are a completely smoke-free establishment, and we do not have any designated smoking areas. We kindly ask for your understanding.

We understand that our guests have varying mobility needs and we strive to provide a welcoming environment for everyone.

Unfortunately, our restaurant may not be the most spacious for individuals using wheelchairs. While we do have an elevator for guests to enter the establishment, we want to be transparent that there is a step of approximately 15 cm, or 6 inches, inside the restaurant. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

In addition, we do provide high chairs for our guests, but we understand that these may not be suitable for everyone. Please know that our high chairs have a wide base to ensure that our guests feel comfortable and secure.

We value all of our guests and want to do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs.

Depending on our reservation schedule, we may be able to accommodate private events. We need to inform you that the minimum number of guests for private events is two, and the maximum is eight. Also, we kindly request a minimum guarantee charge of 200,000 Japanese yen. Please let us know if you have any further questions or requests, and we will do our best to assist you.  Please email: info@ginzahassen.jp with your name, phone number and your request.  Our customer service assistant will contact you either via email or phone.

Absolutely!  We are pleased to welcome guests who may not be proficient in Japanese. However, kindly note that neither our Chef nor Maître d’hôtel speak foreign languages. To assist with your meal, we have an English-language booklet that introduces our dishes and drinks. We would be delighted to take your reservation if this suits your needs.

Alternatively, we can arrange for a language assistant to be present during your visit to the restaurant. Please note that an additional fee will be charged for this service, and it may take up to seven to 10 days to arrange for a foreign language attendant.

For further inquiries or to make a reservation, please send an email to info@ginzahassen.jp with your name, phone number, and request. Our customer service assistant will respond to your inquiry via email or phone promptly.
